2017 Eclipse Cup – Tournament Cancelled

Dear Coaches and Managers,

Unfortunately the Eclipse Cup scheduled for this weekend has been canceled due to wet field conditions.  We do not have confidence that the fields will be dry enough to withstand 182 games over the weekend.  Canceling today also prevented significant additional expenses from being incurred.  

Refunds will be provided, less our expenses.  Please allow us at least a week to accumulate the expenses and determine the best method to distrib ute refun ds, either via Gotsoccer or a check.

We truly appreciate your desire to participate in the tournament.

The Eclipse Cup will be hosted by Eclipse Soccer Club at Community Park in Missouri City, or, if needed, Lost Creek Park, Sugar Land, over the weekend of January 21 – 22, 2017. The tournament is designed to provide a pre-season event for U11 through U16 teams. The tournament features high-caliber competition and high quality fields.

This unrestricted event is sanctioned by USYSA.  Teams will be divided into three flights by age and gender: a competitive flight (Cup) an average flight (Trophy), and a recreational flight (Goblet).  A limited number of teams will be accepted, based on the competitive nature of the tournament.

DATES:  January 21st and 22nd

U11/U12 – $450; 3 game minimum, 14 player max roster

U13/U14 – $525; 3 game minimum, 20 player max roster

U15 – $525; 3 game minimum, 20 player max roster

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Midnight on Friday January 6th, 2017.  Entries received after the deadline will be accepted on a space available basis to fill incomplete brackets

LOCATIONS:  All games will be played at : Missouri City Community Park (1700 Glenn Lakes Lane, Missouri City, 77459) or, Lost Creek Park (3703 Lost Creek Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77478).

Tournament Check-in:  

One official from each team will be required to check-in at the Tournament Headquarters (each park will have a headquarters) one hour prior to the first game with:

  • Final Player Roster including guest players and jersey numbers, signed by association registrar
  • Player Cards (Laminated, signed by club registrar & player, with picture) or equivalent
  • Medical Release forms (Signed by parent / guardian) or equivalent
  • Adult Participation Pass (STYSA teams) or equivalent
